Cebuana Lhuillier Scholarship 2024-2025 is now open to apply for all Filipino college students. Recently, Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Inc. has announced the launch of its CLFI College Scholarship program for the School year 2024-2025 via a Facebook post.

What is Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation

Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Inc. is the corporate social responsibility arm of the PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies. The foundation aims to empower lives through education and believes in value of inclusivity.

The Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation has initiated various programs that cater to the underprivileged and the vulnerable sectors which include children, women, indigenous people, the differently abled, persons deprived of liberty, the elderly and the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.

CLFI College Scholarship 2024

CLFI National College Scholarship is one of the programs introduced by Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation to promote and empower college students in the Philippines.

The CLFI National scholarship provides financial assistance for economically challenged yet deserving students to support their college education from 1st to 4th year.

Benefits of Cebuana Lhuillier Scholarship

Cebuana Lhuillier Scholarship provides a Fixed financial assistance of Php 50,000 as the scholarship benefit.

This financial assistance can be used to cover the following:

  • Tuition fees,
  • Other school-related expenses, and
  • Living expenses.

Along with the monetary benefits, you will gain access to a range of valuable benefits, including:

  • Annual general assembly
  • Monthly learning sessions led by highly qualified resource persons or subject matter experts.
  • Outreach programs
  • Education-to-Employment Program
  • Various trainings
  • Cebuana Lhuillier Museum tour
  • Membership in the Cebuana Lhuillier Scholar Alumni Association
  • Leadership boot camp
  • Recognition of exemplary academic and non-academic achievements

CLFI also offers employment opportunities for scholars upon graduation through its Education to Employment (E2E) provision. This initiative allows scholars to secure employment immediately after completing their studies. Additionally, PJLI grants exemptions on the PJLI pre-employment test to scholars who graduate with Latin honors or achieve a general weighted average of 90% or equivalent.   For other scholars, the standard employment process will apply.

Qualifications to apply for CLFI Scholarship

To apply for CLFI – Cebuana Lhuillier Scholarship, one must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • The applicant must be a Filipino citizen.
  • The applicant or any of his or her relatives by consanguinity up to a second degree or relative by affinity up to a first degree must be a Cebuana Lhuillier client.
  • Must have a Cebuana Lhuillier Micro Savings account (where grants will be credited).
  • An incoming or currently enrolled college student at a public university or college in any of the priority programs only:
  • Should have a total annual family income not exceeding PHP 350,000 (Submit Income Tax Return (ITR), Company Paylip or Certificate of BIR Tax Exemption of Certification of Non-Filing of Income).
  • Must have a general weighted average (GWA) of 85% or its equivalent from the last semester or school attended.
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character duly signed by an official in the last school attended.

Documentary Requirements

Following is the list of documents required to apply for CLFI Scholarship:

  • Proof of total annual family income
  • A certified copy of the general weighted average (GWA) of 85% with the university or college’s grading system
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character (Alternate documents: NBI/ Police Clearance / Barangay Clearance)
  • A recommendation letter from teacher or church/community leader who know you well and can speak to your academic abilities, character, and achievements
  • Proof of most recent electric bill (Alternate Document: Certificate of tenancy from owner, if renting)
  • Latest Grade Report
    • 1st-year student applicants:
      • Copy of report card from last school attended
    • 2nd to 5th-year student applicants:
      • Copy of grade report from last semester 2023-2024
    • ALS Secondary Level A&E Passers:
      • Copy of Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency (ALSA&E) Test Results
  • At least one (1) proof of any transaction with any Cebuana Lhuillier branches by the applicant or any of his or her relatives by consanguinity up to second degree or relative by affinity up to first degree.
  • Micro-savings Account Number (ex. 0011********)

List of Priority Courses

To be eligible to apply for scholarship, one must be enrolled in a State University or College under an undergraduate program in the following courses only:

  • Accountancy or Finance Management courses
  • Business courses
  • Hotel & Restaurant Management and Hospitality Management courses;
  • Engineering courses (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical and Industrial) and
  • Architecture
  • Psychology
  • Social Work

The CLFI Scholarship 2025 is ongoing and is now open to apply.

The deadline date to apply for CLFI – Cebuana Lhuillier Scholarship 2024 is May 31, 2024.
