CHED Scholarship 2025-2026 program is now open to apply for all interested and eligible college students in the Philippines. Recently, CHED Region 1 announced the opening of online application for CHED Merit Scholarship program for the school year 2025-2026.

The Commission on Higher Education is calling in applications from all the interested and eligible college students studying in SUCs, LUCs and PHEIs to apply for this scholarship program.

CHED Scholarship 2025

The CHED Merit Scholarship program – popularly known as CHED Scholarship program is an financial assistance given by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to well deserving students in the Philippines.

This scholarship program is open to apply for all interested college students who are enrolled in the priority courses recognized by CHED.

Benefits of CHED Scholarship

Following is the list of benefits a CHED scholar will receive under this program:

Who can apply for CHED Scholarships

College Students who are studying in State University (SUCs), Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) and Private Higher Educational Institutions (PHEIs) and are enrolled in the priority courses recognized by CHED can apply for CHED Scholarships.

Qualifications for Scholarship

To apply for CHED Scholarship, a candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • Applicant must be a Filipino Citizen
  • He / She must be a First year college student – a senior high school graduate
  • Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 93% or above.
  • Enrolled in a Senior High School located in Region 1
  • Combined annual gross income of parent/s or legal guardian which does not exceed Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (₱500,000.00)
  • Must enroll in a recognized priority program in a Private Higher Education Institution or a State University / College with Certificates of Program Compliance, or a recognized Local University / College

Documentary Requirements

The list of documents required to apply for CHED Scholarships program are as follows:

  • Proof of Citizenship
    • Photocopy of Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) or NSO
  • Academic records
    • Certified true copy of High School Report Card (Form 138) for incoming first students eligible for college
  • Proof of Income: any of the following:
    • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or guardian (Certified True Copy),
    • Certificate of Tax Exemption from the BIR – Bureau of Internal Revenue (Certified True Copy),
    • Case Study report from DSWD (Certified True Copy),
    • Latest copy of contract of income may be considered for the children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and seafarers (Certified True Copy)
  • Additional Requirements
    • Indigenous Peoples Certification issued by National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP),
    • Certification / ID from CSWD / MSWD for Underprivileged or Homeless Citizen, PWDs, Solo Parents, Senior Citizen, Social Case Study

The deadline date for CHED Scholarship is June 20, 2025.
