BARMM Scholarship program 2024 is now open to apply for all eligible college students. The Ministry of Science and Technology is calling in applications from interested candidates for BARMM Scholarship program for the school year 2024-2025.

BARMM Scholarship
The meaning of BARMM is Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. The Ministry of Science and Technology has announced the opening of BARMM BASE and BASE-Merit Scholarship programs via a Facebook post on Jan 15, 2024.
The BARMM Scholarship program is administered by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and aims to encourage deserving students to pursue higher education in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
There are two scholarships under this program which are as follows:
- BASE Scholarship program
- BASE-Merit Scholarship program
BARMM BASE Scholarship
BASE means Bangsamoro Assistance for Science Education scholarship program. The BARMM BASE Scholarship is awarded to well-deserving students of Senior High School graduate class to enable them pursue higher education or training in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Scholarship Benefits
BARMM Scholars who qualify for BASE program are entitle d to a total of PHP 80,000.00 per annum as scholarship benefits.
The scholarship money will be deposited in 10 installments of PHP 8,000.00 per month into the awardee’s bank account in the last week of every month from the starting month of 1st semester, class of school year.
The scholarship amount covers the following:
- Tuition and other school fees
- Book Allowance
- Monthly Living Allowance
- Clothing Allowance
- Transportation Expenses
Qualifications for BASE Scholarship
Candidates who wish to apply for BARMM BASE Scholarship program must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- The applicant must be a Natural-born Filipino citizen and a resident of BARMM at least six (6) months prior the application of months and;
- He or She must be a member of the STEM strand Senior High School graduating class with 85% GWA during the Grade 12 of 1st semester;
- For Non-STEM strand senior high school graduating class: 90% GWA during the Grade 12 of 1st semester;
- Shall not a recipient of other scholarship programs;
- The applicant must be of good moral character and in good health;
- Do not have any post-secondary or undergraduate units;
- Shall have passed the BASE qualifying examination; and
- Must be enrolled in the BASE program Priority Courses.

Documentary Requirements
Following is the list of documents required to apply for BARMM BASE Scholarship program:
- A Certificate of Good Moral Character (Form B1)
- A Certificate of Good Health (Medical Doctor’s Certification)
- Principal’s Certification
- Applicant belongs to the graduating Grade 12 senior high school-STEM strand senior high school graduating class with 85% GWA during the Grade 12 (1st semester)
- Applicant belongs to the NON-STEM strand class strand senior high school graduating class; 90% GWA during the Grade 12 (1st semester)
- Certificate of Residency; and
- Certification from Registrar’s Office not a recipient of any scholarship

BARMM BASE-MERIT Scholarship
BASE-MERIT Scholarship means Bangsamoro Assistance for Science Education Merit scholarship program. The BARMM BASE-MERIT Scholarship is awarded to students with high aptitude in science and mathematics and are willing to pursue highly technical courses in the fields of science and technology, engineering and mathematics.
Scholarship Benefits
Scholars who qualify for BARMM BASE-MERIT program are entitled to a total of PHP 200,000.00 per annum as scholarship benefits.
The scholarship money will be deposited in 10 installments of PHP 20,000.00 per month into the awardee’s bank account in the last week of every month from the starting month of 1st semester, class of school year.
The scholarship amount will cover the following:
- Tuition and other school fees
- Book Allowance
- Monthly Living Allowance
- Clothing Allowance
- Transportation Expenses
