- Filipino citizen
- Currently enrolled in a public university or college
- Taking one of the eligible courses (see list below)
- GWA of at least 85% from your last semester or school attended with no failing marks
- Annual family income not exceeding ₱350,000
- You or an immediate relative up to the 2nd degree must be a Cebuana Lhuillier client
- Must have or be willing to open a Cebuana Lhuillier Microsavings account (this is where your stipend will be credited)
- Must have a Cebuana Lhuillier 24k Loyalty Card
The Cebuana Lhuillier client requirement is the unique qualifier here. “Immediate relative up to the 2nd degree” includes your parents, siblings, grandparents, and grandchildren so even if you personally haven’t transacted with Cebuana Lhuillier before, a parent or sibling who has may make you eligible.
If you or your family don’t have a Cebuana Lhuillier account yet, you can open a Microsavings account at any Cebuana Lhuillier branch before the application window opens in October.
Which courses qualify?
The CLFI Scholarship covers students enrolled in the following degree programs at a public university or college:
- Accountancy / Financial Management
- Business courses (general)
- Hotel and Restaurant Management / Hospitality Management
- Engineering Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial
- Architecture
- Psychology
- Social Work
Private university students are not eligible for this scholarship, regardless of course.
