DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship for the SY 2025-2026 is open to apply for all interested and eligible college students in the Philippines. The Department of Science and Technology – DOST is calling in applications from all interested college students for the S & T Undergraduate scholarship program.

DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship

The DOST S& T Undergraduate scholarship is open to all eligible students who are pursuing education in the priority courses defined by the Department of Science and Technology. The aim of this scholarship program is to encourage and support talented Filipino students to pursue lifetime careers in Science and Technology, while ensuring a stable, sufficient supply of skilled S&T human resources that can drive the country towards national progress.

Benefits of DOST-SEI Scholarship

Following is the list of benefits, which a DOST scholar will receive:

A. Regular Academic Year

  • Tuition and other school fees (for scholars enrolled in private HEIs) – Actual fees up to ₱40,000.00 / year
  • Learning Materials and/or Connectivity Allowance – ₱10,000.00 / year
  • Monthly Living Allowance – ₱8,000.00 / month
  • Clothing Allowance – ₱1,000.00 (1st Sem of 1st Year Only)
  • Transportation Allowance (for those studying outside of home province) – 1 economy-class roundtrip fare
  • Group Health and Accident Insurance – Premium
  • Thesis Allowance – ₱10,000.00
  • Graduation Allowance – ₱1,000.00

B. Mid-Year Term1 Allowance (if required in the curriculum)

  • Tuition and other school fees – Actual fees up to ₱10,000.00
  • Learning Materials and/or Connectivity Allowance – ₱2,000.00
  • Monthly Living Allowance – ₱8,000.00 / month for two months
  • Group Health and Accident Insurance – Premium

Qualifications for DOST Scholarship

Following is the list of eligibility criteria a candidate must meet to apply for DOST Scholarship:

  1. Must be natural-born Filipino citizen.
  2. Must be of good moral character and in good health.
  3. Qualification
    1. Graduating Grade 12 male and female students in SY 2024-2025:
      • STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
      • NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class
    2. Graduate of Grade 12 before SY 2024-2025 and did not enroll in college yet:
      • STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
      • NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class
    3. Graduate of high school before the K-12 Program. Must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class.
  4. May have taken the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination but did not qualify for the scholarship; OR may have qualified for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not avail of the award; OR have not taken any DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination.
  5. Must NOT have earned any post-secondary (college or vocational) units.

Documentary Requirements for DOST-SEI Scholarship

Following is the list of documents required to apply for DOST undergraduate scholarship:

  • Form C – Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • Form D – Certificate of Good Health
  • Principal’s Certification
    • Form E1 – Applicant who is Grade 12 Graduating/Graduated student in the STEM strand
    • Form E2 – Applicant who is Grade 12 Graduating/Graduated student in NON-STEM strand and belongs to the upper 5% of the class
    • Form E3 – Applicant who is attending homeschool
    • Form E4 – Applicant who is under the Alternative Learning System
    • Form E5 – Applicant who graduated in High School before the K-12 program and belongs to the upper 5% of the graduating class
  • Form F – Certificate of Residency
  • Form G – Parent’s Certification – Applicant has no pending immigration application to another country
  • Form H – DOST-SEI Scholarship Examination/Award
  • Form I – Applicant’s Certification of No Post-Secondary Units
  • Form J – Signed Declaration of Applicant and the Parent/Legal Guardian
  • Recent picture – passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm or 1.8 inches x 1.4 inches)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Income – Parent/s or Legal Guardian’s or Spouse’s 2022 Income Tax Return / BIR Form 1701 / Employment Contract for OFW / BIR Certificate of Exemption from Filing of ITR / Certificate of Indigency / Certificate of Employment with Compensation / Proof of Pension
  • Notarized Affidavit of Guardianship
  • Marriage Certificate

What should you know before applying for the scholarship

Following is the list of things you need to know before applying for the DOST scholarship:

  1. Father’s Annual Gross Income
  2. Mother’s Annual Gross Income
  3. If applicant is married, Spouse’s Annual Gross Income
  4. If Legal Guardian is supporting Applicant, Legal Guardian’s Annual Gross Income
  5. If family receives contribution from outside source: the giver, the amount of the contribution and the purpose of the contribution
  6. If family owns agricultural land: how many hectares
  7. If family owns vehicle: type, year and model
    • Type: Ex. tricycle, passenger jeep, owner jeep, car, van
    • Year and Model: Ex. 2022 Toyota Revo

Scholarship Application Timeline

The Online Application for DOST Scholarship starts on October 13, 2024.

The Last Day of Request for School Inclusion in the E-Application System is November 15, 2024.

Deadline date to submit online Application for DOST Scholarship is November 22, 2024.

Deadline extension for only for those applicants who have already registered but are yet to complete needed documents until – December 6, 2024.

The Schedule of Qualifying Examination is April 5-6, 2025.
